Mission
The Special Projects Management Unit (UGPE) is the specialized service that deals with the fiduciary management of externally financed projects, namely the financial management and procurement management of strategic projects or projects with a significant impact on the pursuit of the tasks pursued by the Ministry of Finance.
Assignments
UGPE Assignments:
a) Ensuring good day-to-day management and programming of the projects identified and under its responsibility, defined by order of the Minister of Finance;
b) Relating with external funders in accordance with applicable rules;
c) Ensure the execution of the works within the stipulated deadlines;
d) Advise the central structures in all matters related to the identified projects;
e) To ensure the connection with other structures or public and private entities involved in the projects, through prior consultation with the General Directorates;
f) Establish internal organization and functioning;
g) Propose measures that contribute to an effective and correct management of the different components of the projects;
h) Ensure dialogue with project funders, making the necessary articulations with the member of Government;
i) Ensure the coordination and overall management of the different components of the projects related to its management;
j) Advise the General Directorates in all matters related to the identified projects;
