Objetive

The COVID-19 Emergency Response Program Development Project aims to prevent, detect, and respond to the threat posed by COVID-19 and strengthen prepared national public health systems.

Description

This project is aligned with the COVID-19 Strategic Preparedness and Response Program (SPRP) and with the World Bank's global plans and commitments to strengthen countries to implement pandemic preparedness plans through interventions (including strengthening institutional capacity, technical assistance, loans, and investment). In this context, the Government of Cabo Verde has negotiated with the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank Group for its financing in the total amount of USD 5,000,000 (five million US dollars).
