The Human Capital Project aims to improve access to basic services and training relevant to the labor market in Cape Verde.

Description

This project aims to achieve this goal and improve human capital outcomes, and as a tool of the Government of Cape Verde, it will support it in three areas of results: ensuring that all school-age youth acquire skills relevant to labor market needs;  ensuring that investments in vocational training lead to greater employability; and supporting women and young people from poor and vulnerable families and improving their access to basic services (including productive inclusion interventions, training, childcare, water, sanitation).  In this context, the Government of Cape Verde negotiated with the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank Group for financing in the total amount of USD 26 million (twenty-six million US dollars).
