The future hospital will be a specialized unit of national reference, designed with a modern profile, equipped with advanced technological equipment and designed to provide differentiated healthcare with high standards of quality, accessibility and efficiency.

With its creation, the aim is to establish a new model for organizing healthcare, reinforcing the coordination between the different levels of the National Health System. The National Hospital will act as a central clinical support structure for central and regional hospitals, contributing to significantly reducing medical evacuations abroad, promoting increased accessibility to treatment within the country itself.

Endowed with the conditions to treat highly complex pathologies, currently treated outside the country, the National Hospital will have advanced medical and surgical specialties (including in the first phase cardiovascular and oncology), as well as a patient-centered approach, aligned with the best international practices.

The project will be implemented in phases, allowing for an organized and sustainable transition, ensuring progressive integration with other health services and optimizing available resources.
