The Special Project Management Unit hosts, between May 2nd and 5th, a mission from the World Bank, within the scope of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Access to Financing Project, with the aim of taking stock of the activities listed in the project.

This Monday (02) morning, the BM team met with the UGPE, with the aim of evaluating important aspects in order to ensure the good execution and implementation of the project, namely, the disbursement of the work plan, the performance of the project components in relation to the results framework, as well as the performance of disbursements and deciding on the appropriate contingencies to disburse all project funds before the end of June 2023.

Under the coordination of the project manager, Nuno Gomes, UGPE was represented by the Financial Director and his staff, the environmental and social and monitoring specialist and the evaluation specialist, and Procurement.

For four days the mission led by the Chief Financial Sector Specialist and Head of the Working Team, Mazen Bouri and the Principal Private Sector Specialist, António Baptista from the World Bank, will meet with several institutions/beneficiaries of the aforementioned project.
